It really wasn't a secret, but it still took me by suprise! I was told we were going to the beach for a walk, then out to dinner. We get out of the car at the beach parking and I was like "Holy Crap it's cold!' I mean it was January, but we love the beach! We got about two feet off the walk way in the sand and Dan got down on one knee and proposed! Of course his trusty sidekick Ian was right beside him all excited "Are you guys married now?" he so innocently asked. Then we ran back to the car because it was too cold for any of us to be out there! And of course Dan was raised well, he even asked my dad for permission before all this!
